wedding dress - bought!

ok, the wedding is still over a year away, but it's better to be prepared, right?!? haha...well, i got my wedding dress today!!!! i went the next day w/ just my mom & my sister  to the same bridal shops (alfred angelo & here comes the bride) so even though my cousins and aunt saw my top choices, they don't really know which one i chose...and it'll be that way until the day of the wedding...all that eli knows is that it's white and it's long. haha. i was still a little iffy on getting "the dress" because of the price but after i started to tear up knowing that i might not get that dress...i said "yes to the dress" lol.

wedding dress shopping

it's several days after thanksgiving and i decide to go wedding dress shopping. (maybe i'll find a good deal). none of my bridesmaids could make it (even my sister...she went on a snowboarding trip w/ friends)..so i went with my mom, my aunt, and four of my cousins. it was fun getting their opinion, but of course...it made it super hard to decide. i went to alfred angelo first, then to here comes the dress. i couldn't pick one that day since my sister wasn't there to see it, but we did text her some pictures....of course, i can't show them here because i don't want eli to see...so it will be revealed on the day of the wedding....

photographer - booked!

eli & i only met up with 3 photographers before we chose ours...daniel galang...we totally love his style, but most of all, his personality (so easy to get along with..) and the fact that he also goes to our church (the rock) is totally awesome too. we can't wait until our engagement pictures (which will be sometime next year, of course) and having him photograph our special day. i would highly recommend him. thanks to ven for showing me his website :)

visit to california center for the arts

eli & i went to see california center for the arts - escondido (ccfa) today to take more pictures of what the layout would look like and what we would want our ceremony & reception to look like. december 10, 2011 (12.10.11). the date is set, the venue is set....a wedding is under way......

ceremony & reception - booked!

so out of all the places we've seen, eli & i chose the california center for the arts - escondido for our wedding. we put down our deposit today. yay! it will be the location for the ceremony & reception...only a hop, skip, and a jump away from each other. haha. we loved it because of how much we could personalize it. it could hold up to 600 (if we wanted), so it would fit all our guests spaciously (but not too much). and we don't have to worry about the transportation from ceremony to reception..it's all covered. also, lots and lots of photo opportunities at this place. i can't wait!!! also, i am looking forward to working with terri as our wedding coordinator. she will help us out to make sure that everything will go smoothly on the day of the wedding.

california center for the arts - escondido

so we are still in the process of looking for a venue for our wedding, one that's affordable, that can fit 300 guests comfortably...that's big enough that it's not too crowded, but not too big that it's not intimate. (i know...it's a lot, but both eli & i are the first ones in our family that's having the big wedding thing..and since i'm the oldest, it's kinda a big deal...). this is the location i had our csu san marcos nursing honor society induction ceremony at, and it's pretty nice and huge too...it also has a place to have a ceremony as well.
